How boat removal works
Getting a boat removed in Texas takes one conversation and one visit. You describe the boat and where it is, we quote it, and on the scheduled day it's loaded and hauled away for disposal. Here's each step, plus what people usually ask before they book.

Step by step

You tell us about the boat
Use the quote form or call. We need the boat type and rough length, its condition, where it's sitting, the city or ZIP, and whether you have the title. Photos are optional but make the quote far more accurate — the boat itself, the trailer tires, and the route from the boat to the street or water.

We call you back and quote it
We confirm the details photos don't show: gate widths, soft ground, stairs to a dock, whether the trailer rolls, whether there's fuel aboard. Then you get a price. Most Texas requests get a callback the same day, with removal usually scheduled within the week.

We confirm access and paperwork
For your own boat, a missing title usually isn't a problem — we confirm you have authority over the property. For a boat that isn't yours, a marina slip, or a storage lot, we sort out who needs to authorize the pickup before the date is set.

Removal day
The boat is loaded and hauled off site. If the trailer is going too, it goes at the same time. In-water recoveries are planned around depth, access and fuel containment, and we'll explain that plan when we quote.

Disposal
What happens next depends on the boat. Fluids and batteries come out, metal and usable parts are separated where it makes sense, and the rest goes to a facility that accepts it. You don't arrange any of it.

Yards, driveways & storage lots
The most common job. Boats on trailers, on blocks or on the ground, including behind gates and fences.
Private docks & boathouses
Boats tied up for years, sitting on a failed lift, or swamped in a boathouse slip.
Marinas & slips
We coordinate with marina staff on access, hours and haul-out. Marinas often have their own paperwork for boats they're clearing.
In the water
Sunk, partially submerged or grounded boats near docks and shorelines on Texas lakes, bays and canals.
Before removal day
- Do I need to prepare the boat?
- No. Take out anything you want to keep. Don't drain fuel or pull the battery unless you're comfortable doing it — just tell us what's aboard.
- Do I need to be there?
- Not always. If access is clear and the details are confirmed, many driveway and yard pickups can happen without you. Marinas, gated properties and in-water jobs usually need someone to provide access.
- What about the trailer?
- It can go with the boat if you want it gone. If you're keeping it, tell us — it changes how the boat is loaded.
- What if the trailer won't roll?
- Very common with boats that have sat for years. Tell us about flat tires or seized wheels so it's planned for rather than discovered on the day.
- What about HOA or sale deadlines?
- Give us the date when you request the quote. We'll tell you up front whether we can make it.
Titles, ownership and the law
Texas titles boats through Texas Parks and Wildlife: all motorized boats regardless of length, non-motorized boats 14 feet or longer, and most gas outboard motors. Plenty of old boats have lost their paperwork anyway, and for a junk boat you own that's rarely what stops a removal. Removing a boat without a title.
A boat that belongs to someone else is different. Texas has a defined process for boats left on private property, and we'll ask what you know about the owner before we remove it. Texas abandoned vessel law.
